HBL (House Bill) – Single Bill of Lading
House Bills are bills of lading issued by the forwarder to the Shipper who is the actual shipper and the actual consignee. As such, bills of lading issued by shipping lines such as Original Bill (Original Bill), Telex Release (Surrendered bill) or Express release (Seaway bill), the Forwarder still has the right to issue these bills.
However, the law will have different rights and responsibilities.
MBL (Mater Bill) – Master Bill of Lading
Master bill is the master bill of lading issued by the owner of the means of transport (shipping line, airline) to the person named on the bill as the owner of the goods (Shipper). The form of identification of Master Bill (MBL) is on the bill of lading with shipping company information such as Logo, company name, phone number, shipping line office.
NVOCC (Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier) – A carrier without ships
The company deals in ocean freight, is considered a sea carrier (Carrier) but is different from shipping lines (Shipping Line) which means that they do not own any ships.
